Check Your Internet Speed

This test measures the speed between your computer and the Internet and can help you determine if you should take steps to improve performance. Use a wired connection for the most accurate results. Results from Wi-Fi networks may not be as expected.

What are you testing?

The speed test takes less than a minute and performs four key measurements:

• Ping (the time it takes a data signal to travel from one place to another – lower is better)
• Jitter (connection consistency and reliability measured in milliseconds – lower number is better)
• Download speed (the speed of data sent from the internet to your computer – higher is better)
• Upload speed (the speed of data sent from your computer to the internet – higher is better)
